{Reverdie} a French song or poem celebrating the return of Spring

As the earth begins to thaw, our most anticipated season draws near. Spring is approaching, and with it the hope for warmer days, fresh perspectives and the very best time of year for flowers. Come celebrate this cherished and fleeting season with us in Quebec on April 23-26 2024, our very own Reverdie.

About

Reverdie is a design-based floral workshop taught in collaboration by Courtney of Winsome Floral and Cara of Trille Floral. Held at Château Ste-Agnès, an enchanting historic vineyard estate, on a sprawling private property in Sutton,Quebec, just over an hour outside of Montreal.

Learn

Over two inspiring days, Cara and Courtney will share their signature romantic and modern design aesthetic as they delve into how they build colour palettes, choosing the correct ingredients and achieving a light and airy feel to all of their designs. Students will have the opportunity to design their own lush and unstructured bridal bouquet and table centerpiece, and together as a group we will work on two separate foam-free installations.

Experience

Attendees will stay at Château Ste-Agnès for three nights, sharing all meals and classes onsite.

The property is in the center of 173 acres of land overlooking beautiful views of the Appalachian mountain ranges. To add to its charm, there’s a stone chapel, cobble stone terraces, a heart shaped pond and 7000 vines. Outside of class, there will be time for exploring the grounds, building friendships, working on our designs, and enjoying locally made food.

Cara and Courtney’s hope is that by staying together on site we can connect as creatives and build on the sense of community already forming in our industry. Reverdie will be a time of learning, but also a time to relax, enjoy and make new friends.

Capture

During our time at the château, we are so privileged to have Erin of Grace & Ardor Co. there to capture our work and our time together.

Nearly a decade of experience in design, art direction, and branding have built a strong foundation for her photography—one that captures people and places in their truest, most beautiful forms. She is largely inspired by the principles of fine art and the ethereal qualities of romanticism, resulting in imagery that’s soft yet striking.

Reverdie would be ideal for already established florists looking to freshen up their skills, add some gorgeous imagery to their portfolios, to feel inspired, to connect with other creatives and to fall even more in love with flowers.

 Itinerary

  • We welcome all attendees to arrive at Château Ste-Agnès from 4pm onwards. This will be a time of introductions and getting settled into your rooms, followed by dinner prepared by our chef and free time.

  • We’ll gather for breakfast and then settle in for our first two flower classes. Cara will demonstrate how to design a rambling table arrangement and Courtney will demonstrate how to design a romantic bouquet. Then with assistance and guidance, the students will create their own. A locally sourced lunch will also be provided on this day, followed by a photoshoot with Erin to capture students' arrangements. As dusk settles in we will enjoy a chef prepared meal and free time.

  • Following breakfast, we will draw from our learnings from the previous day. Courtney and Cara will guide students through the creation of two large scale foam free installations, with lunch in between. When our designs are complete, Erin will capture the installations, a styled tablescape and bouquets with a model and custom designed gown. At dusk we will enjoy our final chef prepared meal, followed by free time.

  • Breakfast and farewells!

A more detailed timeline and venue address will be provided to attendees.
